Work with other owners, property managers, and supplier members on a wide range of committees that either support the growth and development of the association or help plan the fun networking events held throughout the year.

Committees
Budget & Finance Committee
The Budget and Finance Committee is charged with monitoring of the financial activities of the Association; review and recommend capital and other major expenditures, review and recommend the investment of Association funds, monitor the monthly financial performance of Association, and recommend significant financial policy changes. The Treasurer of SCRHA is to serve as the Chairperson of the Budget and Finance Committee.
Education Committee
The Education Committee is charged with the continued development, scheduling, and marketing of new and timely seminars and classes, as well as developing a faculty of competent instructors. Topic areas include NAAEI designation programs, Independent Rental Owner Classes, Supplier Council offerings, Maintenance Training, Legal/Legislative/Operations informational, and training offerings. The Education Committee is charged with developing educational seminars for the Innovations in Rental Housing Education Conference & EXPO. Meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 9:00 AM.
Events
The Events committee dedicates their time and energy to creating valuable events for our membership and industry. The committee will have the opportunity to host engaging events and will promote attendance to the membership and entire industry to create a successful strategy for each event, such as the Golf Class, Education Conference and EXPO, and other social events. The committee meets on the third Thursday of the month at 9:00 AM.
Legislative Steering Committee
Reviews proposed and pending legislation that affects the rental housing industry to develop policies and positions that protect the industry and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors. Participation is by appointment only. Meets on the first Thursday of the month at 10:00 AM.
Mark of Excellence Committee
The Mark of Excellence Awards recognize and celebrate companies and individuals that are committed to furthering their education and development while upholding the core values and ethical practices of the rental housing industry. Committee members make the principal decisions in planning the premier industry award show in Southern California.
Next Generation Emerging Leaders
The Next Generation Emerging Leaders (NextGen) Committee aims to create a growth-oriented experience for all committee members and members of the SCRHA 40 years and younger. This collaborative group of like-minded individuals works towards engagement, charitable efforts, and leadership development. They are committed to building the future leaders of our industry and association.
Content and Buzz
The Content & Buzz Committee is established to craft, curate, and amplify engaging content across newsletters, magazines, blogs, websites, and social media platforms. The committee collaborates with volunteers to inform, inspire, and connect the community through meaningful storytelling and strategic outreach. The brings together creative minds to craft and share compelling stories across newsletters, magazines, blogs, websites, and social media. With the help of enthusiastic volunteers, we aim to inform, engage, and connect our community—creating content worth sharing and conversations worth continuing. Together, we amplify voices, celebrate achievements, and keep our message moving.
Growth and Connect
The Growth and Connect committee is dedicated to cultivating a vibrant and inclusive community within our trade organization. We connect, welcome, and grow our membership by fostering meaningful relationships, hosting dynamic networking events, and driving strategic outreach. Through personalized engagement, data-driven growth goals, and innovative sponsorship opportunities, we aim to elevate member value and expand our collective impact. The Growth and Connect Committee is the driving force behind member engagement and expansion for our trade organization. Their responsibilities include:
• Member Outreach: Contacting all current members, including owners, welcoming new members, and recruiting prospective members with staff support. Connections grow here through simple things: welcome calls, personalized emails, introducing new members, and regularly celebrating members who make a difference.
