No Action on Additional Chula Vista Tenant Protections
As SCRHA reported yesterday, the Chula Vista Council took no action this week on an Eviction Moratorium and indicated that the proposed tenant protection ordinance was unlikely to move forward anytime soon. While great news, this is not likely to be the last we hear of this effort in Chula Vista and beyond. Those who support additional restrictions have also targeted the City of San Diego and other local communities for more permanent regulations. County of San Diego Hosting Virtual Community Meeting on Organic Materials Ordinance Update
The County of San Diego Planning & Development Services (PDS) and Department of Public Works (DPW) are developing the Organic Materials Ordinance Update project to help divert organic materials from landfills. County staff will host a virtual public workshop to showcase the updated project approach and solicit feedback.

The San Diego Housing Commission’s (SDHC) Landlord Partnership Program (LPP) provides financial and support incentives to housing providers who rent to families who receive federal rental assistance through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program. The SDHC Landlord Services Unit holds monthly seminars for owners and managers interested in learning more about the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.
