The 35th annual Apartment Perspective brings together leading voices in multifamily real estate to explore how San Diego’s apartment market is evolving and what lies ahead.

Featured Speakers

Our panel of experts will address key themes shaping the future of apartments in San Diego. Ray Major, Regional Economist and former Chief Economist at SANDAG, will share insights on regional economic conditions and the effectiveness of long-term planning efforts. 

Erik Anderson, Senior Managing Director at Newmark, will provide an update on apartment sales trends across the county.  His remarks will include pricing dynamics, transaction velocity, and the implications of rising high-density, small-unit developments in Downtown San Diego and beyond.

Brent Stuhley, Acquisitions Director at Pathfinder Partners, and Matthew Quinn, Pathfinder Partners, will discuss how Pathfinder’s investment strategy has shifted in recent years and what kinds of opportunities they expect to pursue in 2026. 

Moderator Robert Vallera, CCIM, Senior Vice President at Voit Real Estate,  marks his 25th year with the program and 45th in the industry. He’ll open with reflections on four decades of change, offering context and inspiration for navigating the dynamic decades to come.
