About SCRHA
The Southern California Rental Housing Association (SCRHA) is the membership association for rental housing providers in our region: independent owners, property management companies, apartment communities, and the suppliers who serve them. We provide rental forms, operational advice, education, events, and legislative advocacy so our members can run their properties well and stay compliant with local, state, and federal rules.
We serve rental housing providers throughout San Diego, Imperial, and southern Riverside Counties.
Yes. SCRHA is affiliated with the National Apartment Association (NAA). That affiliation is why members receive member pricing on NAA Click & Lease and have the option to support NAA’s advocacy funds at renewal.
Anyone who owns, manages, or supplies rental housing in our service area. We have options for first-time owners with a single unit, owners with larger portfolios, management companies and the communities they manage, vendors and service providers, and Realtors and brokers who need local compliance forms. See Membership options and pricing below to find your fit.

New Owner Regular, Management Company, and Supplier members pay a one-time $35 application fee with their first year’s dues.
Owner Regular and Management Company dues include a base fee plus $6.10 per rental unit per year. For example, an owner with 10 units pays $309 + (10 × $6.10) = $370 per year, plus the $35 application fee in the first year.
We verify ownership and management of properties and unit counts using ALN and other sources so your account and dues are accurate. By signing up or paying an invoice, you agree to this verification.
Enter your name followed by the word “Company.” For example: Tom Harding Company.
Some membership types, including Owner Basic, Management Company, Supplier, and the Imperial County Trial, are reviewed by our staff before they’re activated. We’ll email you once your membership is approved. Payment is due when you sign up.
Renewals, billing, and payment
Memberships run for one year from the date you join (three months for the Imperial County Trial). You can check your status and expiration date anytime on your Member Compass dashboard.
Log in and open your Member Compass. If a renewal invoice is open, you’ll see it under Pay Balance. If your membership has expired, you’ll see a link to renew. For company memberships, the primary contact, billing contact, or anyone with management access can renew.
If you renew within six months of expiration, you simply pay your renewal dues. After six months, you’ll rejoin as a new member, which includes the $35 application fee where it applies.
Renewal invoices include voluntary contributions that support advocacy for the rental housing industry:
- SCRHA PAC: $30
- SCRHA Legal Fund: $30
- Industry Defense Fund: $20
- NAAPAC ($5) or, for corporations, the NAA Better Government Fund ($5)
These are entirely optional. You can remove any of them before you pay.
Go to the Payment Methods tab of your Member Compass to add, update, or delete saved cards.
Company invoices are visible only to the company’s primary contact, billing contact, and anyone they’ve given management access. If you need to pay the company’s dues, ask one of them to grant you management access, or contact us.
Your online account
Click Log In at the top of any page and sign in with your login email and password. Once you’re logged in, your Member Compass is your home base for your profile, invoices, events, and company account.
Click Log In, then choose the forgot-password option and follow the emailed instructions. If you know your current password and just want to change it, go to Login & Password in your Member Compass.
That means an account already exists for that email, often because a coworker or your company added you. Log in or reset your password using that email instead of creating a new account. If you still can’t get in, contact us.
Edit your details on the Profile tab of your Member Compass. To change your name, title, or your company’s name, contact us and we’ll update it for you.
If you’re your company’s primary contact, billing contact, or have management access, open the People tab in your Member Compass. Add each employee there and they’ll receive an email invitation to set up their own login. You can also give other people management access from this tab.
See My Events and My Orders in your Member Compass. Your invoices and payments are under Account History.
