State Eviction Moratorium Ends TodayThe eviction protections for residents with pending rental assistance applications expire today. SCRHA is planning a webinar with information on the process going forward and the current state of evictions in the courts. Look for details in upcoming SCRHA emails. Members are reminded that the City of San Diego has a temporary moratorium on no-fault termination of tenancy that will be in place through September 30. Notice periods are increased for owner/family member move-in and removal of property from the rental market. Substantial remodel terminations are prohibited in most cases. Read more.Increasing Rents? Visit the SCRHA Rent Cap & Just Cause Page for Guidance! For properties in Imperial, Riverside and San Diego counties subject to AB 1482/State Rent Caps, the cap will be 10% for rent increases that take effect August 1, 2022 or later.

Be Aware! Water Restrictions Now in Place
Last week, the Western Municipal Water District (WMWD), a regional water agency that includes the cities of Temecula and Murrieta in its territory, and the City of Riverside Public Utilities Department announced new water conservation measures. Affected customers are asked to voluntary limit the watering of their yards to three (3) days or less per week and abide by other restrictions. Read more.
