Housing Providers Reminded of COVID-19 Nonpayment Protections & Notice Deadlines
Statewide eviction protections for renters unable to pay rent have been extended through September 30. AB 832, which extended previous protections and included improvements to Rental Assistance Programs, requires the use of updated forms, now available via SCRHA. July 31, 2021 is the deadline to provide mandatory notification to renters with past due rent as of July 1. Click here for a quick guide, information on updated forms, and more information on the legislation.

Assessment Appeals Process Available for Property Owners
Property owners may file a formal assessment appeal with their local County Assessor if they disagree with their property’s assessed value. Appeals on assessments must be filed between July 2 and November 30. Use the links below for more information on the process that applies to your rental property.

County of San Diego Lawsuit Update
While SCRHA has still not received any decision regarding its motion for a preliminary injunction against the County eviction ban, we are hopeful that we have a decision on the lawsuit by July 19. SCRHA will alert members as soon as any news is received.
