Reminder: Statewide Non-Payment of Rent Protections Extended Through September

SCRHA members are reminded that protections for renters who are unable to pay rent due to COVID-19 have been extended until September 30. Housing providers will continue to utilize Form 403, the 15-Day Notice to Pay or Quit, along with the COVID Hardship Declaration Form, 299. Additionally, Form 401, Notice of Rent Delinquency, must be provided to any resident with past due rent as of July 1 no later than July 31, 2021. These forms have been updated to include specific language required by the state. Previous versions of these forms are no longer compliant; make sure these forms are dated 6/30/2021. Learn more.

Still No Decision in County Lawsuit; SCRHA Thanks Housing Providers

SCRHA is still awaiting a decision from the Judge regarding the injunction against the County Eviction Ban. Members will be alerted as soon as SCRHA hears any news. SCRHA would like to thank all those who have supported this important lawsuit and provided shelter throughout the pandemic. Many housing providers went above and beyond to assist their residents, and this has gone largely unrecognized. Hopefully, by now, you have received emails and seen social media posts thanking you for your efforts during the pandemic.
