Lemon Grove Amends Urgency Ordinance: Tenant Protection Ordinance Workshops Announced
At Tuesday’s City Council meeting, the council voted to amend the temporary urgency ordinance to remove the 120-day notice requirement for termination of tenancy. SCRHA had contended all along that this requirement violates state law and was vulnerable to a legal challenge. SCRHA will be updating its guidance page and will be amending the Lemon Grove-specific Termination of Tenancy form. Workshops are scheduled for March 24 and April 9, both at 6pm at the Lemon Grove Community Center. SCRHA strongly encourages rental owners and managers, as well as Lemon Grove residents, to attend these workshops and make your voice heard. Click here for more information.
Help SCRHA by Taking Short Resident Manager Survey
As previously announced, SCRHA is sponsoring legislation to make having an onsite resident manager permissive, rather than a requirement. As part of this ongoing effort to modernize the law, we are asking members to take a short survey. Click here to learn more and access the survey.
