State Legislative Update
Thank you to all those who responded to SCRHA’s recent Action Alerts on AB 1248 and SB 436. Both bills can be taken up any day on the floor of their respective houses. At the time of writing this, no vote had been taken. SCRHA will report back soon on these bills and more. In the meantime, make sure you are signed up for SCRHA Action Alerts. Your voice does make a difference…with your help, we’ve already stopped an attempt this year to lower the statewide rent cap.
Rent Increase Cap for San Diego & Riverside Counties
CPI Percentages for Rent Increases Effective August 1, 2025, or Later:
- San Diego CPI: 3.8% ~ Max Increase = 8.8%
- Riverside CPI: 2.5% ~ Max Increase = 7.5%
- Imperial County CPI: Pending California CPI Data
