Chula Vista Tenant Ordinance Hearing Tentative for October 25
Chula Vista city staff has informed stakeholders that the Tenant Protection Ordinance could be heard on October 25. The city has scheduled, then postponed, the hearing numerous times over the summer and has made it clear that the hearing could be rescheduled yet again, and the most recent draft provided could also change. SCRHA appreciates members staying engaged on this issue and will share more information as soon as it becomes available.

Input Needed: Take Survey on Water Heater Replacement; Register for Focus Group
San Diego County's proposed Climate Action Plan has identified replacement of gas water heaters in apartment buildings as a goal in the coming years. The Center for Community Energy (CCE) is assisting the County with this effort and would like to engage the rental housing industry on incentives and regulations. Take a short survey to help CCE and the County understand the infrastructure and financial challenges for rental properties.
