San Diego Tenant Protection Ordinance Passes Second Reading
This past Tuesday, the San Diego City Council gave final approval to the Tenant Protection Ordinance (TPO). SCRHA is pleased that the association’s advocacy led to a more balanced ordinance that reflects state law in many areas. SCRHA will continue being involved in the TPO process in an effort to make sure that the accompanying administrative regulations are fair and balanced. The ordinance goes into effect 30 days after the Mayor signs it into law. It is expected he will sign it in the coming days and the ordinance will be effective late June. SCRHA will keep members informed of the effective date and when new forms are available. Click here if you missed the last recap.
